The State of California honors the memory of Harvey Milk by celebrating May 22, Milk’s birthday, as a statewide “day of special significance.”

The GLBT History Museum in San Francisco will celebrate Harvey Milk Day by offering free admission on May 22, 2014.

In honor of Harvey Milk Day, which is this Thursday, May 22 (Milk’s birthday), The GLBT History Museum will offer free admission and docent-led tours every hour on the hour. The Museum will be open regular hours that day: 11 am to 7 pm.

Enjoy hourly docent-led tours, see new exhibition “Queer Past Becomes Present,” the new exhibition in the museum’s newly-remodeled Main Gallery, which includes a display about Milk’s assassination. Queer Past Becomes Present is the first entirely new exhibition in the Main Gallery since the museum opened in 2011.
