SF Street Artist fnnch Launches “The Great Honey Bear Hunt”
San Francisco street artist “fnnch” has just launched “The Great Honey Bear Hunt”. His idea is to have people put Mask Bears in their windows so neighbors can walk around and spot them. This is a fun, safe activity for your neighborhood.
You can see one now in the window of one of the painted ladies at Alamo Square.
He is offering a “Honey Bear Hunt Kit” available on his website that costs $18, which he says is basically “at cost”. The bear in your particular kit will be randomly chosen from over a dozen different Mask Bear designs that you can tape into your window, plus a sticker and an unsigned mini-print as a thank you. Limit of one kit per household.
Optionally the general locations of the bears will appear on a map to help with the hunt (but it’s easy to opt out if you choose to). This is an experiment, and he is excited to see how it goes. This is not San Francisco only, the hunt can be nationwide or worldwide! So stay tuned for a Mask Bear in a window near you!
To help his COVID-19 Fundraiser, you can also buy a face mask – 100% of mask sales, and 50% of art sales go to COVID-19 charities.
