Hyped ‘Boichik Bagels’ Opening New South Bay Shop
Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the news that Berkeley’s extremely popular Boichik Bagels, is opening up a new location in the South Bay.
The runaway hit bagel sensation, which New York Times featured in their article “The Best Bagels are in California (Sorry, New York), currently has two locations: its original location is in Berkeley at 3170 College Ave, and its second location recently this past fall in Palo Alto in the Town & Country shopping center at 855 El Camino Real #115.
Its next location will be opening this summer in Santa Clara at 2050 Wyatt Drive. The location features a large outdoor patio space and is close to many offices like Intel.
Also in the works, owner Emily Winston is working on opening a second retail outpost and bagel factory at 1225 Sixth Street in West Berkeley. The new plant will produce raw dough for its retail stores and bake bagels for wholesale. The plant will also eventually also serve as a retail location too. Winston expects the factory to ready in the next couple of months. After the plant is up and running, Boichik Bagels plans to expand to new locations around the Bay. Winston shared with SF Gate, “Ideally, I want to get to where everywhere in the bay, within 20 minutes or so, you’d be able to get to a Boichik.”
Winston has noted, that Boichik will always bake its bagels on-site at its retail shops, so soon, you could have a freshly baked Boichik bagel near you.
