Iconic SF Skyscraper Co-Owned by Trump is for Sale
The iconic 555 California skyscraper is looking for a new owner. The building, which was formerly the tallest building west of the Mississippi, is partially owned by Trump. The 52-story building served as the headquarters for Bank of America, and its current tenants include Microsoft, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
Towering over San Francisco at 779 feet high, it’s currently the fourth tallest building in the city, but the largest by floor area. The three-building complex (including 315 and 345 Montgomery Street) cover 1.8 million square feet.
The Trump Organization co-owns the property along with Vornado Realty Trust, who have a 70% stake. On Tuesday, 6/23, Vornado announced its intention to sell the property. Bloomberg reports that the property could fetch more than $2 billion.
