“Karla The Fog” Rolls Into SF After “Karl” Goes Silent
With 355,000 Twitter followers and a sassy take on San Francisco weather, @KarlTheFog has gone mysteriously silent since January of 2020 right around the time the 49ers were in the Super Bowl and when COVID started to dominate the news.
After 10 months of silence, a new twitter voice of the fog has emerged. Meet Karla The Fog – the unofficial replacement to pick up the voice left by KarlTheFog, because “The Fog Must Go On!”
Karla started tweeting on September 15th. According to KRON4, there are more than 100 foggy days a year in San Francisco, so Karla will have plenty to comment about.
Miss Karl the Fog? Until he tweets again, you can buy the official “Karl the Fog” hardcover book which was published in June of 2019
I didn’t have a formal debut, but I’m feeling particularly welcomed today by the Twitterverse. Allow me to introduce myself:
Hi, I’m #KarlaTheFog.
I identify as female.
My pronouns are she/her, but don’t mind if you call me The Fog Goddess.
Most importantly, I ❤️ San Francisco!— KarlaTheFog (@fog_karla) October 5, 2020
The last tweet from Karl the Fog back in January 2020
The fog horn blows because the #49ers are going to the Super Bowl!!
