Moraga Man’s Epic Daily Teddy Bear Window Scenes
Creative local transforms his front window every day to feature different teddy bear scenes
We love the adorable viral Teddy Bear Hunt that’s been popping up all over The Bay and around the world.
Inspired by the book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt,” communities all across the globe are bringing the story to life by placing teddy bears and other stuffed animals in their front windows to create a fun scavenger hunt for families walking or driving around the neighborhood.
One local man in Moraga, Paul Sorich, has been creating unique, elaborate scenes every day in his front window with his jumbo bear squad.
His creative scenes are impressive. His bears have been having a great time; they’ve been seen skydiving, playing soccer, performing a rock concert, sparring in a boxing match, skateboarding, hosting a magic show and more.
We got in touch with Paul to hear what inspired his fantastic window display:
“Well, like all neighborhoods started to do the bear hunt. I didn’t have any so I went to work and printed out a polar bear and some other bears on cardstock, cut them out and put them in the window. People like it so I thought, why not order some jumbo bears and make them do things in the bay window. It was supposed to be some very basic simple things, but then my niece was turning 16 and we couldn’t have a party for her so I thought the bears could have one. I ran to work printed out a bunch of props on cardstock and cut them out. It looked so good, I had to make more themes. It just took off from there and with friends giving me some theme ideas and I just went crazy.
All my props are printed on cardstock and cut out. Cake, boxing gloves, soccer ball, volleyball, airplane, boat, skateboards, musical instruments, ski boat and tubing (water skiing is tomorrow) and a lot more stuff that is coming up. Got about 10+ more ideas ready to go. I post every night what was the days set.”
Here are some of our favorite scenes he’s shared so far. Follow along to his bears’ adventures. See more on his Instagram.
