Stylist Backs Pelosi’s Claim SF Salon Visit Was a “Set-up”
Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that Nancy Pelosi has called her SF hair salon visit ‘a setup,’ and says the salon owes her an apology.
Nancy Pelosi’s visit to an indoor salon this week in drew a lot of criticism. She was seen on camera getting her hair done in a shuttered San Francisco Salon on Monday.
The video showed that she was indoors, inside the salon without wearing a face mask. This was a day before Mayor London Breed announced the reopening of hair salons and barbershops outdoors. Indoor salons in San Francisco remain closed.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to apologize and accused the salon of setting her up. Wednesday, September 2nd, Pelosi has demanded an apology from the salon’s owner stating:
“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to over the years many times. And that when they said, ‘We’re able to accommodate people, one person, at a time, and that we can set up a time,’ I trusted that. As it turns out, it was a setup, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup”
The LA Times reported that the stylist appeared to back Pelosi’s claim and provided additional background information stating that the owner of the salon has been “forcing” stylists to work in violation of the current orders.
“Ms. Kious has also been actively encouraging and almost forcing stylists who operate at eSalon to violate such orders for her own financial benefit in the form of receiving lease payments. The fact that Ms. Kious is now objecting to Speaker Pelosi’s presence at eSalon, and from a simple surface-level review of Ms. Kious’ political leanings, it appears Ms. Kious is furthering a set-up of Speaker Pelosi for her own vain aspirations.”
