Oakland Zoo Set to Reopen February 3
After a nearly two month closure, the Oakland Zoo is planning on reopening to the public on February 3rd for daytime visits and its popular “Glowfari” Lantern Festival will reopening for evening visits starting February 5th
Online reservations / ticketing system for daytime reservations will be live on Monday, February 1st at 10AM (PST). Tickets will not be available for booking / purchase until then.
The zoo originally closed down on March 17th of 2020 and then reopened on July 29th. The zoo then closed again on December 6th as the winter COVID surge took hold.

This week the state’s stay-at-home order was revised allowing outdoor museums and zoos to open at 50% capacity.

Oakland Zoo is REOPENING on February 3rd
We are thrilled to welcome you back to Oakland Zoo beginning February 3rd. Please know we are continuing to practice all ongoing health and safety protocols put in place prior to our December 7th closure, and will be updating our website by 4pm on Thursday, January 28 with more information related to our reopening.

Due to ongoing limited capacity regulations in order to enable social distancing, advance reservations are required for to visit the Zoo.
Our online reservations / ticketing system for daytime reservations will be live on Monday, February 1st at 10AM (PST). Tickets will not be available for booking / purchase until then.
Oakland Zoo’s GLOWFARI event is reopening to the public on February 5th.
Due to ongoing limited capacity regulations in order to enable social distancing, advance reservations are required for to visit Glowfari. Glowfari has been extended through March 13.
Our online reservations / ticketing system for Glowfari reservations will be live on Friday, February 5th at 10AM (PST). Tickets will not be available for booking / purchase until then.
**If you already have an existing ticket / reservation to visit the Zoo that you purchased pre-closure on December 7th, 2020, either during daytime hours (or to experience Glowfari), we will reach out via email this Friday with instructions on how you can to reschedule your current reservation to visit Oakland Zoo.
