Oakland-Set “Blindspotting” TV Show Gets 2nd Season
The half-hour STARZ dramedy is tribute to The Town and partially filmed right here in Oakland

Starz’ Blindspotting, the spinoff sequel of the acclaimed movie, has just been greenlit for a second season.
The show is set in West Oakland and was partially filmed in The Town as well. The series picks up six months after the events of the film.
East Bay-born Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal who wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed film, are also behind the TV show.
The TV show is a half-hour dramedy that stars Jasmine Cephas Jones, Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron, Candace Nicholas-Lippman, and Helen Hunt. P
lus the show also features the recurring character of “Stroy” played by Bay Area comic Stroy Moyd from HellaFunny.
