Celebrate the Centennial of Palace Preservation Day on Friday, October 16, 2015 with a day of music and lectures at the Palace of Fine Arts.

The California Historical Society, in partnership with the Maybeck Foundation, presents the Centennial of Fine Arts Preservation Day. On this day in 1915 Phoebe Hearst and the Exposition Preservation League raised funds to save the Palace of Fine Arts after the fair.

To honor the importance of this day, visit the Palace of Fine Arts at Noon Friday for free jazz and lectures by Palace scholars, including Dr. Gray Brechin and Victoria Kaster.
