Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that as of 9:35am on August 24th, the National Weather Service has canceled their “Red Flag Warning” after being mostly spared by thunderstorms passing over Northern California and winds not picking up as much as expected.

The Red Flag Warning was initially scheduled to last until 5pm Monday before being canceled early

A Red Flag Warning means warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.

Please note that this is just the warning for new lightning strikes and the danger of new fires being set.  All three fire complexes are still mostly uncontained as of Monday morning.

Check with CalFire for the latest evacuation orders and warnings.
