Come celebrate Christmas in San Francisco City Hall with Mayor Ed Lee and the 8th Annual World Tree of Hope Celebration with free wine, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and sweets on December 10, 2013.

The Rainbow World Fund’s World Tree of Hope is a holiday tree in the Rotunda of San Francisco City Hall decorated with thousands of origami cranes, each inscribed with written notes of hope & peace from children and individuals from around the world.

5:30 p.m. – Concert by the Grammy Award winning San Francisco Boys Chorus

6:00 p.m. – A Celebration of Hope with Author Anne Lamott and Dr. Clarence Jones — political advisor, counsel, and draft speechwriter (I Have a Dream) for Dr. Martin Luther King. Consul General of Japan, Masato Watanabe, will present a peace crane to the City. The Chinese American International School Children’s Choir will perform. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will bless the tree. The emcee is Donna Sachet.

6:30 p.m. – Veronica Klaus and Josh Klipp will perform at a party to follow until 8:00 p.m.
