Come celebrate Christmas in San Francisco City Hall with Mayor Ed Lee and the Annual World Tree of Hope Celebration.

The Rainbow World Fund’s World Tree of Hope is a holiday tree in the Rotunda of San Francisco City Hall decorated with thousands of origami cranes, each inscribed with written notes of hope and peace from children and individuals from around the world.

6 pm – Enjoy a concert by the Grammy Award winning San Francisco Boys Chorus. Plus Jazz singer Veronica Klaus and Tammy Hall will perform.

6:30 pm – Next, will be the Celebration of Hope with SF Mayor Ed Lee and the Consul General of Japan Jun Yamada who will exchange peace cranes and origami artist Linda Mihara will share a message of hope. RWF Founder Jeff Cotter will share how the LGBT community is promoting peace worldwide. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will bless the tree and lead the audience in lighting the tree. Emcees for the event are Cheryl Jennings and Donna Sachet. Other guests and performers to be announced.

7 pm – Tree is lit. Party to follow until 8 pm.
