Will SF “Fully Reopen” On June 15? Find Out Today
While California has stated that it will allow counties to reopen on June 15, 2021 without any capacity limits or physical distancing requirements, San Francisco hasn’t yet announced any specifics.
The closest San Francisco has come to any specifics around the June 15th date was during an early May interview with SF Gate where Mayor London Breed said, “… to abandon restrictions completely — even if the state heads in that direction it may not be best for San Francisco. I’m trying to avoid standing up and telling residents to shelter in place again. We will center our June 15 decision around keeping the public safe.“

But more details are expected today as the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development, is hosting a livestream webinar at 4;30pm on June 8, 2021 on the expected changes when San Francisco moves to “FULL reopening.” San Francisco has typically been more restrictive than the state allows.
