Thanks to CBS5 for letting us know that San Francisco underground artist fnnch has not only helped art spread across the city but has also helped raise a ton of money for charity.
When the crisis started and shops started getting boarded up, the artist started gluing “Mask Bears” and “Soap Bear” characters on the plywood to help liven up empty storefront windows cover.
That caused a big uptick in traffic to his website where he has since sold 750 prints and 250 wood paintings and donated $129,000 to Safety Net Fund and SF New Deal.
