SF Aiming for Next Reopening Phase in 2-4 Weeks
Thanks to ABC7 for letting us know that the city may be just a few weeks away from the next phase of reopening according to the Mayor.
San Francisco’s Mayor London Breed and Dr. Grant Colfax, the director of the San Francisco Department of Public Health with Dr. Susan Philip had a live discussion via Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter on Monday, May 18th to talk about SF’s current Phase 2A.
Dr. Grant gave an estimate that it could take two to four weeks to enter Phase 2B, which would adapt retail to open for indoor services, reopen schools, offices, and childcare. He clarified that restrictions could be varied based on the five indicators.
The Mayor also said the city of San Francisco is “proceeding with caution” about Phase 3 (sports without fans, hair salons, churches, etc.) and that the city will likely not be ready for June 1st after Gov. Newsom said California may reopen more businesses next week.
Breed also spoke about the future of tennis courts, bars and museums on ABC7.
