SF Named 2021’s Best City for Your Summer “Vaxcation”

The City ranks number 1 for having fun and boasted the highest vaccination rate of any big city

Thanks to KTVU for sharing the news that Lawnstarter ranked San Francisco as the best city in America to have a summer vaxcation.

What’s a “vaxcation”? Lawnstarter states “Just what it sounds like: a vacation for the COVID-vaccinated.”

Lawnstarter compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on 30 key metrics. They factored in costs, Airbnb rates, the weather, and, each city’s vaccination rate, among other indicators of fun and relatively low-risk summer activities.

San Francisco came out on top overall, ranking number one for “Having Fun” and for having the second-highest number of attractions and the most vibrant nightlife. At the time of the rankings, it was also boasted the highest vaccination rate of any big city.

Additional Bay Area citied earned spots in the top 20 including Oakland in 12th and Sunnyvale ranked 19th.
