SF Opens Four “Weather Relief” Centers (Oct. 15-16)
The National Weather Service is heat advisory warning, predicting above normal temps in San Francisco, October 15-16, with afternoon temperatures peaking in the high 80s to low 90s. Even during heat waves, we must continue to protect ourselves and our community from COVID-19. Stay home when possible.
If it feels too hot in your home, seek cooler temperatures while keeping at least six feet away from people not in your household. Great places to beat the heat include shady parks and other uncrowded outdoor spaces.
If it feels too warm inside and you need a break from the heat, San Francisco has activated Weather Relief Centers at the following locations on Thursday, October 15th and Friday, October 16th from 10 am to 5:30 pm:
-
- San Francisco Main Library, 100 Larkin Street
- Chinatown Branch Library, 1135 Powell Street
- Mission Bay Branch Library, 960 4th Street
- Southeast Community Facility, 1800 Oakdale Avenue
PSA for today! (And tomorrow.) Stay cool, SF. https://t.co/izY1w9h1On
