SF Planning Epic “Winter Lights at the Gardens” for GG Park in 2024
The Gardens of Golden Gate Park, which includes the Conservatory of Flowers, Japanese Tea Garden, and San Francisco Botanical Garden, are planning a unique winter lights installation from mid-November 2024 through early January 2025.
Details are sparse for now as they are currently accepting proposals for a lighting partner to help create an enchanting winter lights installation at the Gardens of Golden Gate Park.
The Gardens of Golden Gate Park says, “Our aim is to develop a unique winter lights installation that embodies the mission and brand of the Gardens and is authentic to our local community. We hope to create a magical atmosphere that will captivate visitors of all ages and invite visitors to explore the beauty of the Gardens after hours. We envision the first year of this event taking place from mid-November 2024 through early January 2025. We are open to multi-year proposals.”
The Gardens expect the majority of the lighting installations to be in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens due to its much larger size, but the Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden may also be lit up for the special winter lights installation.
