Small Outdoor gathering reservations at Picnic Sites in San Francisco parks resume on June 29.

In order to facilitate groups having a designated location for small gatherings, the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department intends to reopen online reservations for picnic sites and picnic tables. Picnic tables will be able to be used but you will need to sanitize them before and after use.  

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department is in the process of updating its systems to ensure health directives are met. Picnic reservations will resume on Monday, June 29 at 10 am.

What Kind of Small Outdoor Gatherings are Allowed?

  • Social Gatherings of up to 12 people if they observe social distancing requirements of remaining at least 6 feet apart and wearing masks or 
  • Meal Gatherings of up to 6 people.
