SF Reports First COVID Deaths in 9 Days

San Francisco today reported two new COVID-19 deaths bringing the city’s total to 162.

San Francisco today (12/4/20) updated their COVID-19 data and reports which showed two new deaths attributed to the Coronavirus bringing the total number of deaths in the city to 162.

It’s unclear when these deaths took place (the data doesn’t show you where the updates were made) but reports the last known death attributed to COVID having taken place on November 23rd.

For context, San Francisco currently has a relatively low death rate from COVID. As of 12/4/20 the city reports 18.4 deaths per 100,000 population compared to 49.2 for the state of California and 83.0 for the United States.
