SF’s 2017 Pro Beach Volleyball Open
The Mens & Womens AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour will make its return to San Francisco. One of four tournaments held in the state of California, the San Francisco event is unlike the others.As opposed to the deep sands on the natural beaches in Southern California, this competition takes place on a pier with the scenic Bay Bridge looming overhead.
Although last year’s event ended a six-year hiatus from San Francisco, the past three years have all been won by players who have competed in the Olympics. In this event, the cream of the crop always seem to rise.

Thursday, July 6 – Qualification Tournament
Open to the public; no Premium Tickets available for sale

Friday, July 7 – Main Draw Tournament
Opening Rounds
- Competition 9 am – 6 pm. Venue Open 8:30 am – 6:30 pm.
Saturday, July 8 – Main Draw Tournament
Elimination Rounds
- Competition 9 am – 6 pm. Venue Open 8:30 am – 6:30 pm.
Sunday, July 9 – Main Draw Tournament
Final Rounds
- Competition 9 am – 3 pm
- Semi-Finals 9 am – 1:30 pm
- Finals 1:30 pm and 3 pm
8 – 10 am – AVPFirst “Community Corner” Clinic
In an effort to ensure all children have access to the great sport of volleyball and a healthier lifestyle, AVPFirst will partner with local community organizations in underserved neighborhoods across the country as part of the Community Corner Program.Venue Open 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
