EMPIRE Records opens a free immersive music museum pop-up in downtown San Francisco for Super Bowl weekend, February 5-7, 2026.

If you’re looking for a free Super Bowl weekend activity in San Francisco, Bay Area record label EMPIRE is opening a pop-up museum in the Financial District to celebrate its 15-year anniversary.

The exhibit, called EMPIRE 15: Full Circle Museum, is a fully immersive museum experience featuring curated displays, storytelling, and memorabilia from across EMPIRE’s history. It’s located inside 1 Montgomery Street, the historic former bank building that EMPIRE is turning into its new headquarters.

EMPIRE was founded in 2010 by Ghazi Shami, a Potrero Hill native who built the company while keeping its roots firmly in San Francisco. Over the past 15 years, the independent label has grown into one of the biggest in the U.S., working with major artists across multiple genres, including Kendrick Lamar, Bebe Rexha, Larry June, and more recently, Shaboozey.

The museum traces EMPIRE’s evolution from a local startup into a global music force, while highlighting the label’s focus on independence, creativity, and an artist-first approach.

What You’ll See Inside the Museum

The pop-up includes a mix of awards, artifacts, and music history from the label’s past 15 years. Visitors can expect:

  • Curated exhibits featuring album covers, posters, and memorabilia
  • Platinum plaques and awards
  • Bay Area artist highlights and a wall featuring local names like G-Eazy, Saweetie, and Rexx Life Raj
  • Immersive moments throughout the space, including a replica of the NPR Tiny Desk setup

The exhibit is designed as a walk-through museum experience, and it’s open to all ages.
