“Fruit Jesus” Bike Delivery is Back in SF
Thank you SF Eater for sharing the wonderful news that the “Fruit Jesus” is once again bringing produce to the people – rolling around town on his bike to deliver fresh fruit to your doorstep.
“FruitRollup is an attempt to connect local farmers with urban consumers, solving the problem of the “last mile” of distribution. All of the fruit is sourced from various San Francisco farmer’s markets and brought straight to your countertop”
The long-bearded and free-spirited fruit prophet, Konstantin Kosov and owner of Fruit Rollup had been busy bicycling around to the various farmers’ markets in San Francisco, loading up a thousand pounds of fresh produce on his trailer, and delivering the fruits of this labor to offices downtown. Due to the current crisis, when most businesses closed, he went on a short hiatus. After six weeks, SF’s very own Fruit Jesus has risen… he’s back to bicycling around the city, and bringing fresh produce to the people via home delivery instead of to downtown businesses.
His motto, according to his Instagram page? “Aiming for a healthy balance of abs, fruit, and hippie stuff”
