SF’s Mask Mandate Might Loosen Soon

On the heels of Santa Cruz County’s lifting of the indoor mask mandate, San Francisco hints that changes to its mask mandate may be coming soon.
Thanks to SFist and San Francisco Chronicle for sharing the news that San Francisco may be loosening its mask mandate soon.
San Francisco public health officer Dr. Grant Colfax notes that “We’re not there yet,” he said. “But we’re definitely headed in the right direction” as cases have fallen by about half in the past month.
The restrictions are likely to loosen in “moderate or lower risk settings”. Discussions are still ongoing in the department, but no details have been announced yet.
