The acre-sized 28th edition of Twin Peaks’ Pink Triangle for Pride month is back w/ 175 giant bright pink tarps

Get ready for the 2023 edition of the Pink Triangle on Twin Peaks in San Francisco. The past few years, the triangle was lit up with 2,700 LED lights by Illuminate, but for 2023 the Pink Triangle returns to its traditional pink canvas display w/ 175 bright pink tarps held down by 5,000 12″ long steel spikes as it was for its first 25 years. (so no more LED lights).

2023 Update – No LED Lights
The Pink Triangle will be a canvas display as it was for its first quarter-century. New canvases have arrived to make that happen. The LED lighting was terrific the past three years. Illuminate graciously offered to help during the pandemic year of 2020 when we weren’t able to gather hundreds of volunteers due to social distancing; that system was used for an additional two years (a beautiful bonus for sure). For that we are forever grateful. Read 2023 updates at thepinktriangle.com

The Pink Triangle has been installed atop Twin Peaks in San Francisco for each Pride weekend since 1996, as a visible yet mute reminder of man’s inhumanity to man. It is 225 feet across, nearly an acre in size, and can be seen for 20 miles.
