A massive fire hit Pier 45 this morning damaging a warehouse, but our favorite quirky little historic arcade has survived.
The interactive Musée Mécanique museum, at the end of Pier 45 in Fisherman’s Wharf, features tons of 20th-century penny arcade games and antique arcade artifacts, most of which are operational and playable (whenever the museum is open, during non-COVID-19 times).
The museum owns over 300 mechanical machines in their original working condition, and is one of the largest privately owned collection of such games in the world.
Danny Z giving the thumbs up. Musée Mécanique has survived. We’ll be here when you are. pic.twitter.com/HiJUlMNn2K
