In what seems to be the first street fair to return since the begin of COVID, the Thai New Year celebration is on Larkin in 2021 after a hiatus last year.

This Saturday April 17th, we will be celebrating Thai New Year (Songkran) and Southeast Asian culture. Stand together with us as we denounce asian hate and celebrate the Thai New Year.

Please note that we do not see any information on the flyers or website about social distancing, crowd-limiting, masks, or COVID protocols, so we hope that since this is city-sponsored that they are operating the event safely.

According to the map and schedule, there appears to be four blocks of vendors, performances and activities on Larkin from O’Farrell to Ellis.

  • Lion Dancing
  • Thai Boxing Demonstrations
  • Food Booths
  • Outdoor Dining
  • Clothing Flea Market
  • Laotian Dances
  • Thai Food Crafting
