Shake Shack Finally Opens in SF
After opening up outposts in Larkspur and Palo Alto, Shake Shack is finally opening their very first location in the city of San Francisco. The Cow Hollow location will open Monday, February 3, 2020 at 11am in a shared space with Indie Superette.
Next up for shack domination? Downtown San Francisco (inside the Westfield Centre), Valley Fair in Santa Clara and (possibly) Uptown Oakland. First reported by SF Eater.

Grand Opening – February 3, 2020 at 11am – We’re on our way to San Fran! We’re pumped to open our newest Shack at 3060 Fillmore Street. In addition to the Shack classics, the Cow Hollow Shack will be servin’ up some local concretes, including the California Cold Rush – vanilla custard, B. Patisserie Kouign Amann, salted caramel sauce and Dandelion Chocolate cocoa nibs.
- Snag some swag! The first 100 people in line when doors open at 11 a.m. on February 3rd will receive a custom Shake Shack Baggu tote filled with goodies.
- The 3,6540 sqft Shack will feature an outdoor patio. The Cow Hollow Shack will be constructed with recycled and sustainable materials. Booths will be made from lumber certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, and table tops will be made from salvaged walnut tables.
- In addition to the classics, the Cow Hollow Shack will be spinning up a unique selection of frozen custard concretes with local purveyors b. Patisserie, Dough XX, Dandelion Chocolate and Pie Dreams
- California Cold Rush – Vanilla custard, B. Patisserie Kouign Amann, salted caramel sauce, Dandelion Chocolate cocoa nibs
- The Great Escape – Vanilla custard, strawberry puree, Dough XX salted sugar cookie dough
- Pie Oh My – Vanilla custard blended with pieces of Pie Dreams seasonal pie
- The menu features Bay Area-exclusive Golden State Double, a Richards Grassfed Beef cheddar cheeseburger topped with pickles and smoked garlic aioli.
- Cow Hollow Shack will donate 5% of sales from our Pie Oh My concrete to La Cocina, a beloved San Francisco-based non-profit.
