Which Shopping Malls Have Reopened in San Francisco?

Westfield Center, Stonestown and Ghirardelli Square all reopened as of June 15th

Now that the City of San Francisco has moved into stage 2B and opened indoor retail, several of the city’s largest malls are now reopening.

Please note that details/hours may change and you’ll have to contact each mall to see which stores are open

Open for Indoor Retail

  • Westfield Mall – 865 Market St. – Opening June 15 – Masks required, modified hours 11a-7p Monday to Saturday and Noon to 6p on Sunday
  • Stonestown Galleria – 3521 20th Ave. – Opening June 15 – Open 11a-7p Monday to Saturday and Noon-6pm on Sunday. List of open stores include Apple, Forever 21, Lids, Uniqlo and more.
  • Ghirardelli Square – 900 North Point St. – Opening June 15 – Three shops opening on June 15th (Gigi Rose, Jackson & Polk, Lola) with others opening on June 19th – See the up-to-date list of open shops and outdoor dining.

Not Yet Open for Indoor Retail

  • Crocker Galleria – 50 Post St. – Limited Outdoor Dining Only – No retail is open yet, but two restaurants are open (Ladle & Leaf plus Braised & Bread) with access to rooftop outdoor dining area.
  • Embarcadero Center – Limited Outdoor retail only – We called and were told that none of the 100+ stores are doing indoor retail yet, but that several stores are doing outdoor retail. They expect more stores to open Mid-July.
  • Macy’s Union Square – 170 O’Farrell St. – Curbside pick-up only – No mention of indoor retail on website or socials as of 6/15/20
  • Japan Center Malls – 1737 Post. St. – No indoor retail yet, but many restaurants open for pickup and limited stores operating storefront pickup.
  • Metreon – 135 Fourth St. – Still listed as temporarily closed on website and no mention on socials of any reopening dates or plans.
