Thanks to SFWeekly for letting us know about The Shins Ballet “Oh, Inverted World” streaming for 48 hours on YouTube.

Smuin Contemporary Ballet presents Trey McIntyre’s hit Oh, Inverted World as the next installment of its Hump Day Ballets series. An intoxicating pop ballet is set to music by influential indie band The Shins.

Oh, Inverted World will stream for 48 hours only – from April 29 to May 1. (We think it will last until around 8am on Friday, but we’re not sure the exact time the video will be taken down)

The release will be accompanied by a video introduction by Smuin dancers Jonathan Powell and Erin Yarbrough-Powell, who performed in the world premiere of Oh, Inverted World.

The Hump Day Ballets series – with rare ballet videos released for 48 hours every Wednesday, was created in response to the Shelter-in-Place order, to allow us to continue to share inspiring art and to stay connected to our community.
