Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery is Back (And Their Cookies Too)
Thanks to Palo Alto Online for sharing the news that well loved Bay Area cafe chain Specialty’s Cafe & Bakery has reopened.
The popular bakery chain had unfortunately shut down in May last year, after 33 years in business. They had filed for bankruptcy and closed all 50 locations due to the financial strain caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Thankfully, Specialty’s original founders, Craig and Dawn (along with their grown children) missed the business and have decided to reopen. They’ve downsized to just one location and have updated the menu with new delicious creations. But don’t worry, they still have their signature cookies.
They’ve re-opened their first location at Ellis St in Mountain View. They will open additional locations based on customer demand.
Specialty’s is open Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm.
