Starting July, San Francisco Bay Ferry Lowers Fares

Discounted fares are coming to all routes for one year

San Francisco Bay Ferry just announced its offering discounted fares on all routes starting July 1.

New temporary fares for all San Francisco Bay Ferry routes will go into effect on July 1, 2021. These fares are lower for a period of one year to incentivize a return to the ferry and make the ferry competitive with other transportation options.

New schedules on all routes will also go into effect on July 1, 2021. See the new schedules.

See the new fares in the table below. These go into effect on July 1, 2021. Current fares will be collected through June 30.

Our ferry routes fall into the following zones:

  • Zone 1: Alameda Seaplane, Harbor Bay, Oakland & Alameda, Richmond
  • Zone 2: South San Francisco
  • Zone 3: Vallejo
  • Short Hop: Pier 41 Short Hop, Alameda Short Hop

The Vallejo monthly pass has been discontinued effective July 2021. We encourage frequent Vallejo ferry passengers to use Clipper to pay their fares. The significantly lower Clipper fares — $9.00 each way, and $4.50 for those with Discount Clipper cards — reflect the steep per-ride discounts previously available to monthly pass purchasers.
