Thanks to People for letting us know about Jack Dorsey’s latest announcement for making Juneteenth an official company holiday forevermore.
Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted on June 9th the news that Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the freeing of slaves in Texas in 1865, is now a company holiday recognized each year moving forward. The holiday will mark a time of “celebration, education, and connection” for Twitter and Square employees.
