UCSF Starts 1st-in-the-Nation COVID Testing at 24th St. BART
Thanks to Mission Local and KRON4 for letting us know that UCSF and the Latino Task Force has launched a first-in-the-nation low barrier testing site at a transit hub at 24th Street BART.
UCSF and the Latino Task Force launched a COVID-19 Testing site every Wednesday and Friday at the 24th Street BART station from 7 am to 6 pm.
The goal is to help provide easy and free testing for the Latinx community by setting up a test site directly at transit hub in order to make it easy for people who can’t get time off work to get tested to be able to get tested quickly on their way to/from work.
24th Street corridor workers and commuters will be given priority and the testing site will remain open for at least three weeks.
Dozens of essential workers lined up for a pop COVID-19 test at 24th St @SFBART. “It’s an ungodly hour to be up,” @Jon_Jacobo told us at 7 a.m., but he said it’s important to the Latino community. “That’s why people are in line at 6 a.m.” By @AnnikaHom: https://t.co/Yf6aNSm0Ln
