Union Street Festival of Lights

See historic victorians all decked out for the holidays on Saturday night.

Union Street kicks off its annual Fantasy of Lights holiday celebration.

Thousands of holiday lights set off the Victorian houses along the street, transforming Union Street into a magical backdrop for Santa and a team of elves to celebrate along with jugglers, live ponies dressed as reindeer, face painters, balloon artists, costumed characters, singers and live entertainment.

2014 Highlights:

  • See Union Street decked for the holidays and hop on the free Union Street Holiday Horse Drawn Carriage Ride
  • Come to the Union Street Holiday House, 2071 Union Street, and decorate a cupcake from 3-5:30 pm
  • Santa will arrive at the Union Street Holiday House, 2071 Union Street, at 5:30 pm where he will be available for pictures until 7 pm
  • Donate toys for children in need through the SF Firefighters Toy Program. Collection barrels will be available on Union Street at the event and throughout the holiday.

The Great Union Street Holiday Elf Hunt
For one week (Dec. 5- 12, 2014) participating merchants will be hiding a toy elf in their stores for people to find. If found, participants can write that store’s Elf name on a card and be entered to win a $500 Visa gift card. Download the Elf Hunt Map.
