Take to the streets with your feets and get free yummy treats

San Francisco was the nation’s first city to officially launch Walk to Work Day  – walking just 15 minutes of your commute counts and your efforts be rewarded with some free goodies.

Be a part of this fun and festive day of encouragement celebrating the most healthy, sustainable form of transportation: walking.

Get tweeting and sharing with the hashtag #Walk2Work to win prizes in the “Longest Commute,” “Most Interesting Sight,” and “Best Shoe Bling” contests.

On Walk to Work Day, thousands of participants get rewarded at one of the hosted “Hubs” across the city, where free Clipper Cards, totes, coffee, or breakfast snacks are provided. Contest prizes are also awarded for the “Longest Commute” by foot, the “Most Interesting Sight,” and the “Best Shoe Bling.”

At the 2015 event, eight of the city’s eleven District Supervisors joined Walk SF and thousands of San Franciscans celebrated Walk to Work Day at one of fourteen ‘Hubs’ across the city. For all of San Francisco that morning, pedestrian traffic increased 18% compared to the prior month.
