SF’s Epic Social Distance Wedding in an “Empty” Church

A Bay Area couple’s unique wedding in an empty church, but with photos filling the pews

Thanks to ABC7 for sharing this story of a Bay Area couple getting married in an “empty” church, but still filled with people during the Coronavirus outbreak.

It was a very special day for Parris Khachi and Emily Manashi last Sunday. Engaged for a year, the Bay Area couple got married at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco despite the Coronavirus pandemic. Indeed this is a testament that “Love wins over Virus.”

Only their immediate family attended but the church live streamed their wedding so that their friends and other relatives could watch in real-time. The church was empty but the couple was surprised to see pictures in the pews. Check out these amazing photos from Vicens Forns Fine Art Photography.

Some may have thought the photos were of their family and friends who couldn’t make it to the wedding but they were actually pictures of the church members that kept the priest accompanied during their regular streaming.

Here are some pictures as tweeted by ABC7’s anchor & reporter Liz Kreutz from:
