The San Francisco Giants host a Public Celebration Of Life on Thursday, November 8th at AT&T Park for San Francisco Giants Legend And Hall Of Famer Willie McCovey.

The San Francisco Giants and the family of Willie McCovey will remember the remarkable life of the Giants Legend and Hall of Famer who passed away peacefully earlier this week at the age of 80 after losing his battle with ongoing health issues.

Hall-of-Famer Willie McCovey’s career spanned 22 seasons (1959-1980) mostly with the San Francisco Giants. Nicknamed “Stretch,” McCovey hit 521 home runs, was a six-time All-Star and was the leagues MVP in 1969. When the Giants moved to their new ballpark they honored Willie through the naming of McCovey Cove.

WHO/WHAT: Public Celebration of Life for Willie McCovey

WHEN: Thursday, November 8th at 11:30 a.m. (Gates open at 10:30 a.m.)

WHERE: AT&T Park – Members of the public should enter the park through the Willie Mays Plaza Gates.

NOTE: This public celebration of life is open to all fans and friends of Willie “Stretch” McCovey.

PARKING: Please be advised that guests are encouraged to take public transportation as Giants Lot A is not available for public parking. Public parking is available at Piers 30/32 and other locations around the park.
