The Yard at Mission Rock

A brand new pop-up village of recycled shipping containers near AT&T Park

Opening in early March 2015 and open year-round, 7 days per week, The Yard at Mission Rock will activate a small portion of Giants Parking Lot A, at the corner of 3rd St and Terry Francois Blvd.

The pop-up village will be constructed out of recycled shipping containers that will house local food and drink establishments, pop-up shops, public open space, cultural programming and events. According to SF Eater, the 18,000 square foot set up will bring in an Anchor Steam beer garden, waterfront deck and feature businesses in 15 shipping containers that were previously used in the port of Oakland and would replace about 70 parking spaces.

Mission Rock Park will offer a variety of experiences from outdoor recreation and water-oriented activities to art festivals and open-air concerts.

“The Yard” is just part of a bigger planned project at Mission Rock –  sweeping 5.5 acre waterfront park will be the cornerstone of the network of open spaces along the central and southern waterfronts known as the Blue Greenway.
