“The City” Free Concert Night | SF
“The City” is a free live concert series taking place at different locations in San Francisco each month.
They often offer free drinks and music raffles, so check each event for details. An RSVP is always required to get in to this party.
1955 and Solwave will be performing live at the next event at Hotel Utah on Friday, September 26, 2014.
Free, but an RSVP is required and gets you two free drink tickets and appetizers.
The 1955 sound: lean, tight songs with a cinematic sweep to them, propelled by a stripped down sound and the bands’ unbridled live energy. A throwback to the simplicity and clarity of early rock and roll songwriting, the songs recall the energy of the bands’ heroes, but bristle with a modern edge and danceability.
When Solwave is on stage, it’s impossible not to get swept away by the combination of chemistry, sheer talent and songs filled with soul, blues, new wave, and undeniable rock n’ roll dance beats. All of this mixed with the flow of energy from the audience is not only what sets the band apart but is what makes their fans continue to come back for more.
There will be a hosted appetizer hour from 7-8 pm for those who RSVP.
