Event Details

Come out to watch and cheer on the participants who will be rappelling 230 feet from the roof of the Hyatt Regency in downtown San Francisco. The majority of participants will rappel from 8 am to 6 pm on March 18, 2016.

Noise-makers, posters, coordinated costumes, and songs highly encouraged to cheer on the participants. Each rappel itself will last 10-15 minutes.

The City Skyline Challenge is a fundraiser to get more students of all ages outdoors to learn important life skills like leadership, a desire to serve the community, and confidence through challenges and the unique experiential educational opportunities that Outward Bound California has to offer from three basecamps in Yosemite, Joshua Tree and in SF Bay.

Want to rappel too? Sign up – Each participant will fundraise or give outright at least $1,800 to get to the 2016 goal of $300,000–enough to fund at least 1600 days in the field where students will experience the life-changing opportunities of an Outward Bound course.
