Corn Husk Dolls Workshop | The Presidio

June marks the month that the Anza party settled at the Presidio. When the Spanish colonists arrived at El Presidio in 1776, almost half of them were children under the age of 14 years. Much of their time would have been spent helping adults with chores. When children did have free time, they made their own toys.

This activity celebrates the creativity of Spanish colonial children.
