Here’s something for the number crunchers out there. Do you realize there are professional mathematicians that just do math? All day? Occasionally they stumble upon something so big that it shakes the mathematical world. The repercussions are felt everywhere, even at the diner where you’re eating your big salad. This film recounts the amazing moment when Yitang Zhang made a new discovery on one of math’s greatest problems.
Keith Devlin, NPR’s renowned Math Guy, will come along to provide expert commentary. Which is good, cuz I won’t be getting any of it.
