Discover the transformative power of dance in this intergenerational movement class taught by Marika Brussel. This class is appropriate for everyone who enjoys movement, and is specifically designed to be accessible for individuals who use wheelchairs, as well as those with balance concerns or Parkinson’s. The class begins seated with warm ups for the body and mind. As the class progresses, participants can stand or stay seated as we continue to hone balance, grace, and confidence.

Marika Brussel has been teaching elders in the Bay Area for the past 8 years. Her work incorporates her training through the Mark Morris Dance for Parkinson’s Disease program.

Creative Aging at The Contemporary Jewish Museum is a series enrichment programs designed to create an environment promoting community, wellness, and lifelong learning for older adults at The Museum.
