Event Details

Crimes of Passion was started by lead guitarist Juliana and some friends during high school around 2005. The band competed in a number of Battles of the Bands, as well as KFOX’s Last Band Standing contest, where they consistently placed in the top four.

This led to some great opening slots at Shoreline for the likes of the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller Band and Greg Kihn, as well as Pat Travers and Foghat at Discovery Park. In addition, Juliana has played solo, opening for Michael Schenker and the Misfits.

Their influences are constantly evolving, but their roots are in rock and metal. Randy Rhoads has been a big influence for guitarist Juliana, along with Danny Elfman in regards to songwriting. Other influences for the band include Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Misfits, the Beatles, Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age, Iron Maiden, Rancid, and many other rock, punk, and metal bands.
