Come hear a talk led by Danae Ringelmann of Indiegogo, one of the first and largest crowdfunding platforms.
Indiegogo is a way for people all over the world to join forces to make ideas happen. In 2008, Danae was an MBA student trying to bring her artistic vision to the stage, Eric Schell was searching for funds for a theater company, and Slava Rubin was raising money for a charity. Their struggles to find funding inspired the trio to start Indiegogo and revolutionize the flow of funding to ideas that matter.
Since 2008, millions of contributors have empowered hundreds of thousands of inventors, musicians, do-gooders, filmmakers – and many more – to bring their dreams to life. Danae will speak about the impact of crowdfunding on the growth of businesses and how it validates and amplifies new ideas.
