This event is curated by the Bay Area Science Festival as part of their year-round calendar of science events.

The festival takes place each fall with 10 days of science and technology lectures, games, exhibits, workshops and hands-on activities all over the Bay Area.

Bay Area Science Events

Bring a laptop, smartphone, or tablet and join us for Swissnex San Francisco’s CryptoParty. Open to all, learn about basic cryptography software such as TOR, The Onion Router, Public Key Encryption, and Off The Record messaging/calling, as well as other applications for the general public.

The Party is led by hacktivist, cypherpunk, and crypto expert, Andy Isaacson, co-founder of the Noisebridge hackerspace. Also on hand is Open Whisper Systems’ iOS Lead, Christine Corbett, the mind behind the open source encrypted phone call app Signal.
