One Billion Rising 2018: Flashmob to End Violence Against Women

On February, one billion women and those who love them will walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to violence against women and girls.

One Billion Rising For Justice is a call to survivors to break the silence and release their stories. The campaign is a recognition that we cannot end violence against women without looking at the intersection of poverty, racism, war, the plunder of the environment, capitalism, imperialism, and patriarchy.

Learn the One Billion Rising “Break the Chain” Dance and join the flashmob.

For the fifth year in a row, “CODEPINK” is organizing a Dance Across the Golden Gate Bridge in collaboration with One Billion Rising. This year will include a #salsashutdown to draw attention to the plight of the millions of undocumented immigrants living in the United States.

On February 12, 2017, they will escalate their efforts, calling on women and men everywhere to rise, love, and resist. Join them for an afternoon dance across the Golden Gate Bridge at 12 pm.
