Event Details

Dance Anywhere is a San Francisco based annual, participatory, public art project created by artist Beth Fein in 2005.

This photo exhibit is a small sampling of local dancers and photographers, selected from the hundreds of photographs from the first ten years of dance anywhere. The Opening Reception will be on March 10, 2015 from 5:30-8 pm in the ODC Theatre Lobby.

Only at the opening you can:

  • see videos and additional photos from around the world
  • be video interviewed about your thoughts, ideas & experience about dance anywhere(R), site specific dance & performance
  • get assistance registering and finding a location for you to participate on March 27th

The exhibit is on display from March 3-29, 2015.

Dance Anywhere asks the question: what if the world stopped to dance? The answer has come form from 7 continents, over 65 countries and more than 650 cities. Dancers, students, seniors, artists, business people and dreamers alike step out of their daily routine and unleash their inner dancer in museums, parks, sidewalks, office buildings, schools anywhere their dancing bodies will fit. Every year thousands of people from San Francisco to Istanbul, Buenos Aires, Estonia, and around the world participate.
